Lungfish are lobe-finned fish with tiny eyes, a small mouth, weird, thready fins and lungs! They also have gills, but they’re a bit useless for most of them.
Some Lungfish are famous for their ability to dig underground, surround themselves in a mucus cocoon and survive drought and desert conditions for several years if need be.
Among fish, these are the closest living relatives to all tetrapods. Their young even have external gills and look a lot like baby salamanders!
